Historically, currant production in Belgium reached an all time high of 2,100 tonnes in 2005 and an all time low of 322 tonnes in 2013. When compared to Belgium's main peers, currant production in France amounted to 1,692 tonnes, 13,992 tonnes in Germany and 1,867 tonnes in Netherlands in 2016.
