Historically, currant production in Denmark reached an all time high of 13,687 tonnes in 2013 and an all time low of 1,168 tonnes in 1979. When compared to Denmark's main peers, currant production in Germany amounted to 13,992 tonnes, 1,867 tonnes in Netherlands, 763 tonnes in Norway and 240 tonnes in Sweden in 2016.
