Historically, duck meat production in Macao reached an all time high of 2,008 tonnes in 1986 and an all time low of 18.7 tonnes in 2004. When compared to Macao's main peers, duck meat production in China amounted to 1,888,000 tonnes, 489 tonnes in Hong Kong, 3,526 tonnes in Singapore and 61,218 tonnes in Taiwan in 2004.
