Eu asylum applicants by country of origin reached 5,355 persons in 2014 in Hong Kong, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 1.42% more than in the previous year.
Historically, EU asylum applicants by country of origin in Hong Kong reached an all time high of 5,825 persons in 2010 and an all time low of 2,915 persons in 2008.
