Based on a comparison of 10 countries in 1999, United Kingdom ranked the highest in final stocks of other red and rose wines with 351 1,000 hl followed by France and Spain. On the other end of the scale was Austria with 4.00 1,000 hl, Finland with 10.0 1,000 hl and Belgium with 18.0 1,000 hl.
