Based on a comparison of 23 countries in 2016, France ranked the highest in final stocks of varietal wine with 4,175 1,000 hl followed by Spain and Italy. On the other end of the scale was Luxembourg with 1.00 1,000 hl, Slovenia with 2.30 1,000 hl and Lithuania with 3.60 1,000 hl.
