Final stocks of wine reached 351 1,000 hl in 2016 in Belgium, according to Eurostat. This is 32.2 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, final stocks of wine in Belgium reached an all time high of 769 1,000 hl in 2014 and an all time low of 348 1,000 hl in 1965. When compared to Belgium's main peers, final stocks of wine in France amounted to 51,546 1,000 hl, 12,057 1,000 hl in Germany, 170 1,000 hl in Luxembourg and 381 1,000 hl in Netherlands in 2016.
