Historically, fish consumption per capita in Bangladesh reached an all time high of 19.7 kg in 2011 and an all time low of 7.56 kg in 1990. When compared to Bangladesh's main peers, fish consumption per capita in China amounted to 32.4 kg, 5.80 kg in India and 52.3 kg in Myanmar in 2013.
