Historically, fish consumption per capita in Iran reached an all time high of 8.20 kg in 2010 and an all time low of 0.400 kg in 1964. When compared to Iran's main peers, fish consumption per capita in Iraq amounted to 2.90 kg, 1.90 kg in Pakistan and 3.40 kg in Turkmenistan in 2013.
