Historically, fish consumption per capita in Namibia reached an all time high of 14.4 kg in 2007 and an all time low of 6.60 kg in 1969. When compared to Namibia's main peers, fish consumption per capita in Angola amounted to 16.2 kg, 3.00 kg in Botswana, 5.70 kg in South Africa and 2.50 kg in Zimbabwe in 2013.
