Historically, fish consumption per capita in Thailand reached an all time high of 33.5 kg in 2005 and an all time low of 8.80 kg in 1961. When compared to Thailand's main peers, fish consumption per capita in Cambodia amounted to 35.6 kg, 16.8 kg in Laos, 58.8 kg in Malaysia and 52.3 kg in Myanmar in 2013.
Thailand has been ranked 42nd within the group of 160 countries we follow in terms of fish consumption per capita, 19 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
