Foreign debt reached USD 10,349 bil in 2021 in Iran, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 90.5% more than in the previous year.
Historically, foreign debt in Iran reached an all time high of USD 23,392 bil in 1993 and an all time low of USD 3,969 bil in 1981.
