Foreign debt reached 9,330 USD bil in 2017 in Zimbabwe, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 5.50 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, foreign debt in Zimbabwe reached an all time high of 9,330 USD bil in 2017 and an all time low of 144 USD bil in 1976. When compared to Zimbabwe's main peers, foreign debt in Botswana amounted to 1,740 USD bil, 12,010 USD bil in Mozambique, 176,335 USD bil in South Africa and 16,309 USD bil in Zambia in 2017.
Zimbabwe has been ranked 61st within the group of 111 countries we follow in terms of foreign debt, 13 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
