Foreign trade as a share of GDP reached 90.7 % in 2017 in Azerbaijan, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 0.651 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Azerbaijan reached an all time high of 141 % in 1992 and an all time low of 55.3 % in 1994. When compared to Azerbaijan's main peers, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Azerbaijan amounted to 90.7 %, 113 % in Georgia, 48.8 % in Iran and 46.8 % in Russia in 2017.
