Historically, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Hungary reached an all time high of 170 % in 2015 and an all time low of 53.5 % in 1993. When compared to Hungary's main peers, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Austria amounted to 104 %, 152 % in Czech Republic, 105 % in Poland and 191 % in Slovakia in 2017.
