Foreign trade as a share of GDP reached 161 % in 2019 in Hungary, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 1.30 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Hungary reached an all time high of 168 % in 2014 and an all time low of 53.6 % in 1993. When compared to Hungary's main peers, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Austria amounted to 108 %, 143 % in Czech Republic, 106 % in Poland and 184 % in Slovakia in 2019.
