Foreign trade in services as a share of GDP reached 7.72 % in 2017 in Guinea, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 11.9 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in Guinea reached an all time high of 19.7 % in 1990 and an all time low of 5.65 % in 2007. When compared to Guinea's main peers, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in Liberia amounted to 9.01 %, 16.4 % in Mali, 13.3 % in Senegal and 15.5 % in Sierra Leone in 2017.
Guinea has been ranked 138th within the group of 156 countries we follow in terms of foreign trade in services as a share of GDP, 14 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
Trade in services is the sum of service exports and imports divided by the value of GDP, all in current US dollars.
