Foreign trade in services as a share of GDP reached 6.86 % in 2017 in Zimbabwe, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 15.1 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in Zimbabwe reached an all time high of 16.0 % in 1994 and an all time low of 6.68 % in 1977. When compared to Zimbabwe's main peers, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in Botswana amounted to 11.1 %, 28.8 % in Mozambique, 9.15 % in South Africa and 9.24 % in Zambia in 2017.
Zimbabwe has been ranked 143rd within the group of 156 countries we follow in terms of foreign trade in services as a share of GDP.
Trade in services is the sum of service exports and imports divided by the value of GDP, all in current US dollars.
