Generation of non-hazardous waste reached 3,598 kt in 2014 in Croatia, according to Eurostat. This is 10.5 % more than in the previous year.

Historically, generation of non-hazardous waste in Croatia reached an all time high of 7,095 kt in 2004 and an all time low of 3,085 kt in 2010. When compared to Croatia's main peers, generation of non-hazardous waste in Montenegro amounted to 880 kt, 35,653 kt in Serbia and 4,531 kt in Slovenia in 2014.
