Goatskin production reached 9,350 tonnes in 2014 in Yemen, according to Faostat. This is 23.8 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, goatskin production in Yemen reached an all time high of 12,276 tonnes in 2013 and an all time low of 1,980 tonnes in 1970. When compared to Yemen's main peers, goatskin production in Djibouti amounted to 479 tonnes, 706 tonnes in Eritrea, 1,584 tonnes in Oman and 5,000 tonnes in Saudi Arabia in 2014.
