Historically, gross savings as a share of GDP in Malaysia reached an all time high of 27.2 % in 2018 and an all time low of 0.171 % in 1975. When compared to Malaysia's main peers, gross savings as a share of GDP in Cambodia amounted to 11.4 %, 45.8 % in Singapore, 32.2 % in Thailand and 30.3 % in Vietnam in 2019.
