Groundnut oil production reached 9,200 tonnes in 2014 in Benin, according to Faostat. This is the same as in the previous year.
Historically, groundnut oil production in Benin reached an all time high of 10,120 tonnes in 1995 and an all time low of 460 tonnes in 1969. When compared to Benin's main peers, groundnut oil production in Burkina Faso amounted to 6,739 tonnes, 41,700 tonnes in Niger, 294,200 tonnes in Nigeria and 1,350 tonnes in Togo in 2014.
