Hard coal production reached 1,504 kt in 2015 in Afghanistan, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 10.1% less than in the previous year.
Historically, hard coal production in Afghanistan reached an all time high of 1,673 kt in 2014 and an all time low of 1.10 kt in 2000.
Afghanistan has been ranked 33rd within the group of 55 countries we follow in terms of hard coal production.
