Horse meat production reached 159,069 tonnes in 2022 in China, according to Faostat. This is 1.56% less than in the previous year.
Historically, horse meat production in China reached an all time high of 198,000 tonnes in 2015 and an all time low of 21,600 tonnes in 1961.
