Historically, imports as a share of GDP in Japan reached an all time high of 0.200 % in 2014 and an all time low of 0.069 % in 1993. When compared to Japan's main peers, imports as a share of GDP in China amounted to 0.180 %, 0.207 % in Russia, 0.377 % in South Korea and 0.150 % in USA in 2017.
