Interest payments on government debt reached HUF 1,152 bil in 2020 in Hungary, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 5.06% more than in the previous year.
Historically, interest payments on government debt in Hungary reached an all time high of HUF 1,351 bil in 2013 and an all time low of HUF 8.60 bil in 1983.
Hungary has been ranked 11th within the group of 111 countries we follow in terms of interest payments on government debt.
