Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Cyprus reached an all time high of 1,969 USD mil in 2008 and an all time low of 473 USD mil in 1995. When compared to Cyprus's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Egypt amounted to 2,419 USD mil, 3,308 USD mil in Greece, 8,985 USD mil in Israel and 5,181 USD mil in Turkey in 2017.
