Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Greece reached an all time high of 4,564 USD mil in 2000 and an all time low of 1,396 USD mil in 1996. When compared to Greece's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Albania amounted to 1,472 USD mil, 2,047 USD mil in Bulgaria, 233 USD mil in Macedonia and 5,181 USD mil in Turkey in 2017.
