Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Hungary reached an all time high of 3,857 USD mil in 2008 and an all time low of 1,491 USD mil in 1996. When compared to Hungary's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Austria amounted to 14,256 USD mil, 6,074 USD mil in Czech Republic, 10,608 USD mil in Poland and 2,823 USD mil in Slovakia in 2018.
