Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Hungary reached an all time high of 3,857 USD mil in 2008 and an all time low of 1,491 USD mil in 1996. When compared to Hungary's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Austria amounted to 12,878 USD mil, 5,518 USD mil in Czech Republic, 9,567 USD mil in Poland and 2,597 USD mil in Slovakia in 2017.
