Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Slovenia reached an all time high of 1,771 USD mil in 2009 and an all time low of 544 USD mil in 2000. When compared to Slovenia's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Austria amounted to 14,256 USD mil, 1,737 USD mil in Croatia, 3,280 USD mil in Hungary and 37,644 USD mil in Italy in 2018.
