Expenditure of international tourism reached 1,141 USD mil in 2017 in Slovenia, according to Eurostat. This is 1.33 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Slovenia reached an all time high of 1,610 USD mil in 2008 and an all time low of 544 USD mil in 2000. When compared to Slovenia's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Austria amounted to 12,878 USD mil, 1,399 USD mil in Croatia, 2,975 USD mil in Hungary and 27,883 USD mil in Italy in 2017.
Slovenia has been ranked 79th within the group of 147 countries we follow in terms of expenditure of international tourism, 13 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
