Number of international tourist arrivals reached 11.1 mil in 2017 in Belarus, according to Eurostat. This is 1.14 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, number of international tourist arrivals in Belarus reached an all time high of 11.1 mil in 2017 and an all time low of 0.060 mil in 2000. When compared to Belarus's main peers, number of international tourist arrivals in Lithuania amounted to 2.52 mil, 18.3 mil in Poland, 24.4 mil in Russia and 14.2 mil in Ukraine in 2017.
Belarus has been ranked 35th within the group of 149 countries we follow in terms of number of international tourist arrivals, 114 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
The number of international tourists who travel to a country other than that in which they have their usual residence, but outside their usual environment, for a period not exceeding 12 months and whose main purpose in visiting is other than an activity remunerated from within the country visited.
