Number of international tourist arrivals reached 6.48 mil in 2017 in Georgia, according to Eurostat. This is 20.2 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, number of international tourist arrivals in Georgia reached an all time high of 6.48 mil in 2017 and an all time low of 0.085 mil in 1995. When compared to Georgia's main peers, number of international tourist arrivals in Armenia amounted to 1.50 mil, 2.45 mil in Azerbaijan, 24.4 mil in Russia and 37.6 mil in Turkey in 2017.
Georgia has been ranked 51st within the group of 149 countries we follow in terms of number of international tourist arrivals, 37 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
