Number of international tourist arrivals reached 0.255 mil in 2017 in Madagascar, according to Eurostat. This is 13 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, number of international tourist arrivals in Madagascar reached an all time high of 0.375 mil in 2008 and an all time low of 0.062 mil in 2002. When compared to Madagascar's main peers, number of international tourist arrivals in Mozambique amounted to 1.45 mil, 10.3 mil in South Africa, 0.921 mil in Swaziland and 1.28 mil in Tanzania in 2017.
