Historically, number of international tourist arrivals in Romania reached an all time high of 10.9 mil in 2017 and an all time low of 4.79 mil in 2002. When compared to Romania's main peers, number of international tourist arrivals in Bulgaria amounted to 8.88 mil, 5.65 mil in Hungary, 0.145 mil in Moldova and 14.2 mil in Ukraine in 2017.
