Historically, number of international tourist arrivals in South Africa reached an all time high of 10.3 mil in 2017 and an all time low of 4.49 mil in 1995. When compared to South Africa's main peers, number of international tourist arrivals in Lesotho amounted to 1.14 mil, 1.50 mil in Namibia and 0.921 mil in Swaziland in 2017.
South Africa has been ranked 38th within the group of 149 countries we follow in terms of number of international tourist arrivals, 12 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
