Historically, lard production in Iceland reached an all time high of 273 tonnes in 2008 and an all time low of 14.0 tonnes in 1961. When compared to Iceland's main peers, lard production in Denmark amounted to 63,000 tonnes, 18,500 tonnes in Sweden and 15,100 tonnes in United Kingdom in 2014.
