Leek production reached 85,861 tonnes in 2016 in Germany, according to Faostat. This is 4.06 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, leek production in Germany reached an all time high of 116,309 tonnes in 2012 and an all time low of 43,000 tonnes in 1986. When compared to Germany's main peers, leek production in Austria amounted to 5,761 tonnes, 130,650 tonnes in Belgium, 150,942 tonnes in France and 118,647 tonnes in Poland in 2016.
