Historically, leek production in Kazakhstan reached an all time high of 106,200 tonnes in 2014 and an all time low of 1,000 tonnes in 1992. When compared to Kazakhstan's main peers, leek production in China amounted to 124,283 tonnes, 381 tonnes in Kyrgyzstan and 3,710 tonnes in Uzbekistan in 2016.
