Lignite coal production reached 1,954 kt in 2015 in Montenegro, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 7.13 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, lignite coal production in Montenegro reached an all time high of 2,205 kt in 2012 and an all time low of 1,055 kt in 2009. When compared to Montenegro's main peers, lignite coal production in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 2,328 kt and 41,696 kt in Serbia in 2015.
