Historically, natural gas rents as a percentage of GDP in Ukraine reached an all time high of 2.43 % in 2001 and an all time low of 0.285 % in 1998. When compared to Ukraine's main peers, natural gas rents as a percentage of GDP in Poland amounted to 0.056 %, 0.294 % in Romania and 2.57 % in Russia in 2017.
