Historically, net foreign assets in Libya reached an all time high of 159 LYD bil in 2012 and an all time low of 0.031 LYD bil in 1960. When compared to Libya's main peers, net foreign assets in Algeria amounted to 11,058 DZD bil, -299 XAF bil in Chad, 214 EGP bil in Egypt and -1.76 THD bil in Tunisia in 2017.
