Non-performing loans reached 20.3 EUR bil in 2017 in Cyprus, according to the National Central Bank. This is 14 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, non-performing loans in Cyprus reached an all time high of 28.7 EUR bil in 2014 and an all time low of 3.32 EUR bil in 2008. When compared to Cyprus's main peers, non-performing loans in Greece amounted to 104 EUR bil, 13.1 ILS bil in Israel and 64.0 TRY bil in Turkey in 2017.
