Non-performing loans reached 1.97 EUR bil in 2017 in Slovakia, according to the National Central Bank. This is 9.31 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, non-performing loans in Slovakia reached an all time high of 3.79 EUR bil in 1998 and an all time low of 0.610 EUR bil in 2006. When compared to Slovakia's main peers, non-performing loans in Czech Republic amounted to 131 CZK bil, 1,233 HUF bil in Hungary and 70.8 PLN bil in Poland in 2017.
Slovakia has been ranked 76th within the group of 90 countries we follow in terms of non-performing loans, 28 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
