Number of bank employees reached 23,055 persons in 2017 in Serbia, according to the National Central Bank. This is 3.32 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, number of bank employees in Serbia reached an all time high of 32,342 persons in 2008 and an all time low of 19,611 persons in 2001. When compared to Serbia's main peers, number of bank employees in Croatia amounted to 20,434 persons, 38,877 persons in Hungary and 55,044 persons in Romania in 2017.
