Historically, number of new executive cars sold in Norway reached an all time high of 27.7 thousand in 2016 and an all time low of 13.4 thousand in 2006. When compared to Norway's main peers, number of new executive cars sold in Denmark amounted to 16.0 thousand, 17.6 thousand in Finland, 2.19 thousand in Iceland and 108 thousand in Sweden in 2016.
Norway has been ranked 12th within the group of 19 countries we follow in terms of number of new executive cars sold, 3 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
The popularity of the executive car segment has been gradually declining in Europe over the last two decades.
