Based on a comparison of 18 countries in 2016, Italy ranked the highest in number of new small cars sold with 1,134 thousand followed by United Kingdom and France. On the other end of the scale was Iceland with 6.58 thousand, Luxembourg with 15.1 thousand and Finland with 25.9 thousand.
