Number of rapes recorded by the police reached 3,275 in 2012 in Chile, according to the United Nations. This is 8.77% less than in the previous year.

Historically, number of rapes recorded by the police in Chile reached an all time high of 3,590 in 2011 and an all time low of 2,865 in 2006.
