Official production of quality PSR wines reached 9,482 1,000 hl in 2009 in Germany, according to Eurostat. This is 62.6 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, official production of quality PSR wines in Germany reached an all time high of 12,682 1,000 hl in 1993 and an all time low of 5,833 1,000 hl in 2008. When compared to Germany's main peers, official production of quality PSR wines in Austria amounted to 2,377 1,000 hl, 2.00 1,000 hl in Belgium and 21,511 1,000 hl in France in 2009.
