Based on a comparison of 78 countries in 2017, USA ranked the highest in oil consumption with 870 mil tonnnes followed by China and India. On the other end of the scale was Iceland with 0.850 mil tonnnes, Macedonia with 0.904 mil tonnnes and Estonia with 1.41 mil tonnnes.
