Historically, onion consumption per capita in Hungary reached an all time high of 14.2 kg in 1992 and an all time low of 5.40 kg in 2010. When compared to Hungary's main peers, onion consumption per capita in Austria amounted to 11.8 kg, 9.18 kg in Czech Republic, 13.6 kg in Poland and 4.56 kg in Slovakia in 2017.
