Patent applications of non-residents reached 90.0 in 2017 in Belarus, according to World Bank. This is 36.4 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, patent applications of non-residents in Belarus reached an all time high of 1,005 in 1994 and an all time low of 66.0 in 2016. When compared to Belarus's main peers, patent applications of non-residents in Lithuania amounted to 46.0, 117 in Poland, 14,106 in Russia and 1,764 in Ukraine in 2017.
Belarus has been ranked 77th within the group of 113 countries we follow in terms of patent applications of non-residents, 21 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
